What is a Noun?A noun is a naming word. It names a person, place, animal, thing, or idea. Examples include: Tunde, Lagos, Dog, Table, and Happiness.Types of NounsProper Nouns: Particular names of people, places, days of the week, or months. Proper nouns always start with capital letters (e.g., Nigeria, Monday, June).Common Nouns: General names given to similar classes of things (e.g., boy, city, school).Abstract Nouns: Things we cannot see, touch, or hear, but can feel or think of (e.g., love, courage, anger).What is a Pronoun?A pronoun is a word used in place of a noun to avoid unnecessary repetition. For example, instead of saying: "Tunde is a boy. Tunde is ten years old. Tunde goes to school." We say: "Tunde is a boy. He is ten years old. He goes to school." Here, "He" is a pronoun.
